XAT 2012-13 RESULT, CUTOFF

The process of re-checking the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2013 papers has been completed. Fresh score-cards have been issued to all candidates. Prof Vishwa Ballabh, Head of Admissions at Xavier Institute of Management (XLRI) told PaGaLGuY that the cut-offs will be designed in a manner which will benefit all.

The examination of all the papers by the special committee set up by Prof Ballabh just concluded the re-checking process. Accordingly, it was found out there was an error in the Quant section and not in the Verbal and Decision Making.

Since all papers have been re-checked, many will possibly get new scores the second time around. “We regret the error and understand the anguish the candidates have gone through. But it is important to be correct which is why we checked all papers. Yes, there was a technical mismatch and that is why the error happened. I take full responsibility for what happened,” said Prof Ballabh.

The re-checking also means that XLRI will invite some 300-400 candidates additionally for the interviews. Which also means that those who already got PI calls from XLRI need not worry, those candidates will still be called irrespective of their news scores. "We are going to be fair to everyone, so no one needs to worry," sad Prof Ballab.

The XAT cut-offs for HRM is - 85 percentile in EL, 80 percentile in DM, 54.59 percentile in QA and overall 88 percentile.

The XAT cut-offs for BM is - 80 percentile in EL, 80 percentile in DM, 76.2 percentile in QA and overall 91.25 percentile.

are tentative and may vary.
 
In case suitable candidates for the positions of Senior Project Fellow with essential qualifications as
given  above are not available, these positions would be filled up as Project Fellow with qualifications  of
Project Fellow as given above on fixed remuneration of `16,000/- per month (fixed).  
Tenure of engagement:       Six months in the first instance, likely to be extended in steps of six
months for the duration of Project based on satisfactory performance.
The total tenure as Project  Fellow/Senior Project Fellow shall not
exceed 5 years in any case. The total tenure of five years shall be
calculated as per periods spent on one Project and/or different Projects
taken together in CSIR-CEERI, Pilani or any other Lab./Instt. of CSIR
as Project  Fellow/Senior Project Fellow (formerly known as Project
Assistant Level II and Project Assistant Level III) or as any other
designation of equal status.
Leave: Project Fellows/Senior Project Fellow will be entitled for one day leave
for each completed month’s service.
Enhancement in On completion of 2 years, the performance of the individual shall be
Remuneration:                       adjudged by an internal committee. On the recommendations of the
                                                Committee enhancement `2000/- per month shall be considered at each
level.
                                                                               
The engagement of Project Fellows/Senior Project Fellow will be made on behalf of the Sponsorer of
the Projects. These are not CSIR-CEERI/CSIR posts and will not confer any right on the incumbent to any
claim, implicit or explicit, on any post in CSIR-CEERI/CSIR.
Candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria on the date of interview may appear for  “Walk-inInterview” in the Conference Room of this Institute on 02.02.2013 from 09:00 am to 01:00 pm with his/her
Bio-data in the prescribed proforma available at  CSIR-CEERI website alongwith original documents of
qualifications semester-wise/year-wise and caste certificate, if any (not older than 06 months in case of OBC)
with one set of attested copies thereof for each area/level.
No candidate shall be allowed for registration after 01:00 pm.
No TA/DA for appearing for interview will be paid to the candidates.
