IBPS also conducts common written test for these 20 banks. Out of 7,51,032 candidates appeared for bank PO exam on June 17, 2012, just about 8% or 61,339 candidates have qualified for interviews.
IBPS will select candidates according to the total requirement and they will be placed according to their preferences. It will hold interviews in multiple locations to help regional candidates.
