Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE)

It is proposed to invite applications from eligible departmental candidates for filling up of 417 vacancies (UR-324, SC-62 and ST-31) of Sub Inspector (Executive) in CISF through Limited DepartmentalCompetitive Examination (LDCE) against the recruitment year 2012. However, vacancies may increase/decrease at the time of final selection.
Only Constable/GD, Constable/Tradesmen, Head Constable/GD and Assistant Sub Inspector/Exe who have completed 4 years service including the period of training as on 01.08.2012 (i.e. those who have been appointed in the Force on or before 31.07.2008) are eligible to compete in this examination of LDCE.Sub Inspector

Education Qualification: Graduation from any recognized University

Age Limit:

32 years as on 01.08.2012 i.e., he/she must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1980.
Relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
No age relaxation is applicable for OBC candidates as no vacancy is reserved for OBC category.
OBC candidates can apply as General candidates.

Candidates falling in the categories of Garhwalis,
Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and
candidates belonging to the States of Sikkim,
Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Mizoram,
Manipur, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh,
Kashmir and Leh & Ladakh regions of J&K. 165 Cms 155 Cms.
All candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes. 162.5 Cms. 154 Cms
Chest (For male only) : For all candidates- 80-85 Cms.

All candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes. : 77-82 Cms.

Selection Procedure
Stage-I: Checking of service records. - No marks are allotted. However, it should be ensured that candidates must have good ACRs for the last 04 years and unblemished service record till issue of offer of appointment.
Stage-II: Written Examination - Written Examination will comprise of OMR Based question paper. There shall be one question paper of objective type multiple choice questions consisting of 200 marks with 3½ Hours duration to assess the candidates in the following subjects

General Intelligence and reasoning - Marks 50
General awareness & Professional knowledge - Marks 50
Numerical ability - Marks 50
Comprehension and communication skill – Marks 50

Stage-III : Physical measurement.
Stage-IV: Physical Efficiency Test.
Stage-V : Medical Examination
