WBPSC – Various Vacancies 2012: West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) invites applications for recruiting 18 various vacancies. Eligible candidates may apply through prescribed application format on or before 26-12-2012. For more details regarding age limit, educational qualification, selection process, how to apply and other details are given below…

WBPSC Vacancy Details:
Total Number of Vacancies: 18
Names of Posts:
1. Additional Director – 02 Posts
2. Inspector of Factories (Chemical) – 01 Post
3. Assistant Director of Fisheries – 04 Posts
4. Police Prosecutor – 11 Posts


Age Limit: Candidate should have not more than 55 years for Additional Director post, not more than 35 years for Inspector of Factories (Chemical) & Assistant Director of Fisheries posts, not more than 40 years for Police Prosecutor post as on 01-01-2012. (Age relaxation will be applicable as per rules).

Educational Qualification: Candidate must possess Graduation in law for Police Prosecutor post, PG in Zoology or Chemistry or Bio-chemistry or Applied Chemistry or Second Class Honour’s Degree in Zoology or Chemistry or a degree in Fishery Technology for Assistant Director of Fisheries post, Degree in Chemical Engineering for Inspector of Factories (Chemical) post and PG in Veterinary Science or Animal Husbandry for Additional Director post. And have ability to read, write and speak in Bengali is an essential qualification.


Application Fee: Candidate should pay the application fee of 210/- (SC/ ST of West Bengal persons/ PWD are exempted) in the form of Indian Postal Order, and crossed and endorsed to the Secretary, Public Service Commission, West Bengal, or by a receipted Challan from a Govt. Treasury in West Bengal or the Reserve Bank of India, Kolkata under the head “0051-00-105-State PSC Examination fees-001-Examination fees-16 other fees”. The Postal Orders should be made payable at G.P.O., Kolkata.

Selection Process: Selection will be done on the basis of a Screening Test /Written Test and Interview.

How to Apply: Eligible candidates may apply through prescribed application format available in the notification, fill it completely with all given mandatory details, affix passport size photograph with duly signed by the candidate, completed application form must be submitted along with the copies of relevant certificates, Indian Postal Order/Treasury Challan, two self-addressed unstamped envelopes and one self-addressed post card should be enclosed with the application must be sent strictly by registered or speed post or under certificate of posting to the Secretary, Public Service Commission, West Bengal, 161-A, S.P. Mukherjee Road, Kolkata – 700 026 on or before 26-12-2012. Or may also be submitted personally between 11-00 AM and 3-30 PM on all working days of the Commission’s office.
